Honor Access

Empower the next generation

The NCAA's new NIL rules transformed college athletics overnight, creating new opportunities but little guidance. Athletes needed a trusted way to monetize their personal brand, while fans lacked a simple, secure way to support them.

Honorarium's challenge wasn't just to launch another payment platform. It was to build trust in an entirely new category while creating a meaningful connection between athletes and their communities.

Challenge

Turn financial support into a personal relationship between fans and athletes.

Strategy

I led the product design for Honor Access, designing the end-to-end social payment experience that transformed NIL support into a simple, intuitive, and secure interaction. Every touchpoint was crafted to reduce friction, build trust, and make supporting athletes feel personal rather than transactional.

To bring the platform to life, I extended the product strategy into storytelling by producing Vol Access, a mini documentary series in partnership with The Vol Club. Instead of focusing on transactions, the series gave fans an authentic look inside the lives of Tennessee athletes, strengthening the emotional connection behind every contribution.

By combining thoughtful product design with human-centered storytelling, Honor Access became more than a tipping platform. It became a bridge between athletes and the communities that support them.
