Simon Business School – University of Rochester
Unlock Transformational Impact at Simon
Simon Business School needed a tour video that introduced prospective students to both the University of Rochester campus and the Simon experience. For many international and out-of-state students who couldn't visit before enrolling, the video had to do more than showcase the campus. It needed to build confidence, create a sense of familiarity, and help prospective students envision themselves as part of the Simon community.
Challenge
Strategy
A campus tour doesn't sell a school. A sense of belonging does.
I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of talented creatives, leading the project as a creative collective. I developed the narrative spine that wove each student's story into a cohesive experience, conducted every interview, and provided creative direction across the entire production, including the interviews, voiceover, and visual storytelling. Every creative decision was guided by a single vision: to capture the authentic spirit of Simon and help prospective students feel like they already belonged.
Beyond the interviews, I collaborated closely with the videographer to art direct the cinematic B-roll, thoughtfully selecting locations, student interactions, and everyday moments that reinforced the themes of community, collaboration, safety, and belonging. Every shot was intentionally crafted to complement each student's story, ensuring the campus became an extension of their experience rather than simply a backdrop.
Rather than creating a traditional campus tour, we crafted an emotional experience that helped prospective students imagine themselves at Simon before they ever stepped foot on campus.
